Cutover AI Assistant
Introducing the new Cutover AI Assistant. Move beyond traditional interfaces to interact with your planned, live, or completed automated runbooks. Ask questions, find blockers, summarize outcomes, and make updates, all through simple, natural language, whether you’re recovering, responding, migrating, or releasing.
This marks a significant leap in efficiency, making it easier than ever to manage complex IT operational processes.
IT DR recovery plan for application failover
Let’s take a look at a few examples of how it works: The new Cutover AI Assistant is available for runbooks, templates and snippets.
Here is an IT disaster recovery plan template. Clicking the icon on the right hand side of the screen opens the Assistant. You can type in your question or choose one of the pre-made examples. For instance: ‘Suggest improvements to my Runbook’. In seconds, you receive a clear and detailed numbered list of suggestions based on the AI’s analysis of the template. As you can see it isn’t holding back!
You can then choose which of these suggestions to implement. You can say “Implement suggestions 1, 4 and 6”. The AI Assistant updates your runbook in real time and provides a summary of the changes it has made.
Let’s look at another example of using natural language to improve recovery plan efficiency.
This template has been used in practice, with a number of completed executions and each run had its own challenges and timing variations. You can ask: "Have runbooks created from this template met their RTO?" The AI Assistant includes its thought process along with a detailed analysis of the runbooks executed from this template. We see a detailed summary overview of the executions, and it has identified where the delays are and recommended next steps as well. Pretty cool.
Moving on…
Here we have a comprehensive application recovery plan. It begins with initiating the failover and notifying stakeholders and finishes with bringing up the application at the secondary location and performing post-failover validation checks. You can ask the Cutover AI Assistant to enhance this runbook further, by identifying each stage of the process. Breaking it into groups and organizing the tasks using our powerful Streams feature! That saves a lot of time.
Enhancing major incident management
During a heated, fast paced, busy major incident, The Cutover AI Assistant can help you get up to speed quickly! Joining a Cutover Respond incident runbook, we can see there is a lot happening. Let’s ask the assistant "What’s going on with this incident?"
Very quickly the AI Assistant gives you a detailed situation report showing recent activity, the current state of the incident, how many tasks are completed and what tasks are in play. It even gives you a summary of the resolution steps and when they were identified.
You can even ask "What do we need to do to move forward?" The Cutover AI Assistant acts as an invaluable resource enabling you to get up and running and ready to act when a major incident occurs.
The Cutover AI Assistant
This intuitive, conversational interface empowers you to quickly implement complex changes, diagnose bottlenecks, retrieve critical status information, and proactively analyze your processes, helping you meet your recovery time objectives and respond faster to incidents reducing your MTTR (mean time to recovery).
Available in early 2026.
