New features in the Cutover Platform for Q2 2025

General Availability

Multi-Runbook Dashboard (MRD) Interactivity
(Release 2025.6)Get instant access to task-level details with the new multi-runbook dashboard component interactivity. Click on the Task Stage Summary, Task Completion, Task Split, and Runbook List components to view task details and navigate directly to associated runbooks.

Real-Time Recovery Performance Metrics
(Release 2025.6)Easily measure Recovery-Time Actuals (RTAs) and compare them against Recovery-Time Objectives (RTOs) within your Cutover runbooks to validate whether a service meets its target policy and ensure overall resilience. RTO/RTA calculations update automatically as tasks start or finish and are displayed at the runbook level. See our Measure RTA and compare against RTO article for more information.

Audit Log Usability Enhancements
(Release 2025.6)Get to the information you need, faster with the enhanced filtering and searching of the audit log. All actions are now displayed in a single list, reducing the need to click through pages of results. This option can now be found in the top menu bar rather than having to click through Settings. Plus, you can now filter by task ID, user, action type, and date/time to find what you need faster.

Text Editor Formatting Expansion
(Release 2025.6)We’ve enhanced the text editor to include more formatting options, including headings, bullets, numbering, and alert boxes for highlighting important content. To enhance security, adding new images via drag-and-drop is no longer supported. See our Text Editor article for more information.

Task Skipping Functionality
(Release 2025.6)To increase runbook execution flexibility, runbook team members are now able to skip assigned tasks unless advanced conditions are required.

Task Modal and Bulk Task Management Improvements
(Release 2025.6)To prevent errors, task action buttons are now disabled if the user doesn’t have the permissions, if the task can’t be started/completed, or is already being updated by another user. Users can more easily identify their tasks with task IDs displayed in the title of the task start and finish modals.

Runbook Version Restoration Warning
(Release 2025.6)Reduce the potential of unintended modifications when restoring previous runbook versions with the new warning prompt.

Post Implementation Review (PIR) Accessibility
(Release 2025.6)All users can now view the PIR dashboard! It is now automatically accessible to all users with runbook access, eliminating the need for publishing.

Linked Task Naming Automation
(Release 2025.6)Save time! Linked tasks now automatically inherit template names by default, but can be renamed via the edit panel, if needed.

Settings Menu Streamlining
(Release 2025.6)For easier searching and usability, the Settings menu has been reorganized in a more logical grouping by action type with less frequently used options removed.

Team Filtering Enhancements
(Release 2025.6)Improve task assignment visibility with the new team filtering options: No Value Set and Any Value Set.

Enhanced Custom Field Management
(Release 2025.7)Custom Field Admins now have greater flexibility in managing setup and configuration in Cutover. Edit and archive custom fields without relying on additional support.
