Microsoft Teams with authentication integration

Here we have a recovery plan runbook template which includes a number of Microsoft Teams tasks, which will send out communications at key stages in the recovery process. Once you have followed the Microsoft Team's custom integration setup guide, Simply add a new task to your runbook by pressing the plus icon to create a new blank task. Clicking on the will open the task details panel on the right hand side of the screen. By default, the task type is set to normal. Let's change it. Clicking on the task type opens a list of available tasks. We can use the search feature to quickly find the Microsoft Teams integration task from the list and select it. A new set of parameters for this task are now available. Because this is the first time I'm using this integration, I need to authenticate with Microsoft. Clicking the authenticate button opens a secure page where you can log in to your Microsoft account. This will generate your o auth token for the integration to link cut over to Microsoft teams. Once you have verified your account details, you are automatically taken back to the cut over run book, where you can now enter the team ID, channel ID, and message content. So that we can see how this integration works in real time, I have brought up Microsoft teams on the right of the screen and cut over on the left. Once the live run has started and the dependencies have been met, the Microsoft Teams task will automatically start and we can see that the predefined message is being sent. Very quickly, it has appeared in my Microsoft Teams channel. A very useful feature is that there is a link in the team's message that will take the user directly to that run book in Cutover. With dynamic runbooks, you can change the message on the fly in case any changes or additional information is needed.
