New Features in the Cutover Platform for Q2 2026

GENERAL AVAILABILITY

Release 2026.5 - March 2026

This release focused on platform stability, delivering behind-the-scenes performance improvements and refinements based on customer feedback. No major new features were introduced, setting the stage for the enhancements that followed.

Release 2026.6 - April 2026

Dashboard Comments: Direct Access to Task Details

Task IDs in the Dashboard’s Starred Comments section are now clickable, opening the Task Edit panel directly for faster access.

Runbook Task Search: Multi-Keyword Support

The task search bar now supports comma-separated keywords, returning results that match any of the terms entered.

Nodemap Enhancements

New visual indicators for RTO, lateness, comments, descriptions, and predecessor/successor relationships make task status and dependencies easier to see at a glance. A new “View task details” option also replaces the previous popover for cleaner navigation.

Release 2026.7 - April 2026

AI Assistant: Retry Responses

Users can now retry an Assistant response in Workspace and Runbook views if something goes wrong, with the previous response cleared and replaced by a new one.

Snippet Audit Logging Improvements

Audit logs now show whether a snippet was added manually or via a task, giving clearer context on how runbooks are built.

Release 2026.8 - May 2026

Clearer Integration Error Messaging

OAuth error messages for integrations such as Azure, AWS, Google, and Okta now clearly indicate when an issue originates from the external identity provider, speeding up troubleshooting. Refiring an expired integration connection now prompts re-authentication instead of a generic error.

Developer Updates: System Parameters

A new Developer Portal article introduces system parameters - a centralized, secure way to manage shared configuration such as API keys, tokens, and URLs across integrations, automations and runbooks.

Release 2026.9 - May 2026

Editable Nodemap: Visual Runbook Planning

A new interactive Nodemap lets teams plan, manage, and execute runbooks visually - viewing tasks, streams, dependencies, and progress in one place, with zoom and pan for navigating complex plans.

Task-Level User Controls

Specific users, or a minimum number of users, can now be required to start or complete a task, giving tighter control over sign-off on critical steps.

Task Duration Preserved on Type Change

Manually configured task durations are now retained when switching task types, with new bulk-edit controls to keep, reset, or set custom durations across multiple tasks.

Streamlined Custom Fields and RTO Filtering

The custom fields modal now only appears when a required field is present, and templates can now be filtered by RTO Configuration Status, matching existing Runbook and Dashboard filters.

Release 2026.10 - June 2026

Post-Quantum TLS 1.2 Now Required

The platform now exclusively supports Post-Quantum TLS 1.2 cipher suites; legacy TLS configurations are no longer supported. Customers should confirm that browsers, API clients, and network infrastructure are compatible.

Developer Updates

New Incident Management endpoints, minimum user requirements for task start and completion, an is_late task attribute for workflow monitoring, and expanded user/team metadata are now available via the Core API.

Release 2026.11 - June 2026

AI Assistant Enhancements

Suggested prompts are now organized into contextual categories based on runbook stage, analysis results display recognizable user and team names, and the Assistant can update Email and SMS task content and recipients directly.

Multi-Runbook Dashboards: Stream Support

The Runbook Completion Matrix now supports Streams as a cross-reference attribute, with the ability to toggle between runbook and task counts and hide empty rows and columns.

Create a Runbook from a Historical Version

Runbooks can now be created from any previous version of a completed runbook, not just the most current one.

Workspace Filters Persist Across Tabs

Filters now remain active when switching between the Templates, Runbooks, and Snippets tabs.

Editable Nodemap: Bulk Selection and Placement

Teams can now select an area of the Nodemap to apply filters in bulk, and move or copy tasks before or after tasks that have no predecessors or successors.

Out Now: Integrations Script Builder

A new Script Builder lets teams create Custom Integrations from pre-built templates across 10 categories - including ITSM, CI/CD, AWS, Azure, GCP, and Security - generating a deployment script in minutes.

Release 2026.12 - June 2026

AI Assistant: Linked Runbook Queries and Stop Generation

The Assistant can now answer questions about linked runbooks directly from a parent runbook, and users can stop a response mid-generation.

MCP Server: Linked Task and Folder Support

The Cutover MCP Server now supports creating linked tasks using natural language in AI clients such as Claude Desktop and GitHub Copilot.

Improved Event Integration Troubleshooting

The message log can now be filtered by enabled status, outcome, and specific integration, making it faster to diagnose integration issues.

Simplified Administration

Custom Field Group management has moved to the Custom Fields screen, and administrators can now download a CSV audit log of all SAML configuration changes.

Task Filtering and Validation

New filters let teams find tasks by minimum users required to start or end, and conflicting auto-start/auto-finish and multi-user task settings are now prevented.

Developer Updates

You can now retrieve global and workspace-specific task types, runbook types, and custom fields in a single request, while custom fields are now supported on Incident Summaries. We've also added detailed assignee information to the Get Runbook Tasks endpoint and introduced a read-only display name field on user records. In addition, several API improvements have been made to enhance consistency, reliability, and the overall integration experience.

Cutover Connect 7.5.1

Cutover Connect 7.5.1 is now available with security and reliability updates.
