New features in the Cutover Platform for Q3 2025

General Availability

Release 2025.13

Instant Notifications for Key Events
Receive real-time notifications for critical events, such as an integration failure, allowing your teams and systems to respond instantly. This feature helps you automate responses in external tools like ServiceNow or Microsoft Teams, improving accuracy and auditability.

Master Templates
You can now designate any template as a "Master" template to standardize and accelerate the creation of application-specific templates. This allows searchable custom field data to be automatically carried over, making the process faster and more consistent across your organization.

Resizable Filter Panel and Search
Navigate workspaces and runbooks more efficiently with a new resizable filter panel, which is especially helpful for viewing long folder or custom field names. Additionally, you can now quickly find the folders and streams you need by using the new search functionality.

In-App Release CommunicationsGet quick, in-app visibility into what’s new through the "News" section under the Help icon. This gives you immediate access to the latest product updates right inside the platform.

Release 2025.14

This release focused on minor internal improvements and bug fixes for a more consistent user experience.

Release 2025.15

Custom Payloads in Event Integrations
Gain more flexibility by configuring Event Integrations to send custom payloads when specific events occur. For example, you can now trigger tailored API calls and send dynamic information from your runbooks to external systems like Microsoft Teams.

Quick Access to Parent & Child Runbooks
Navigate between related runbooks faster and more intuitively. You can now easily view parent and child runbooks directly from the runbook list in your workspace, improving visibility into complex hierarchies.

Enhanced Dependency Options for Linked Tasks
Save time and gain more control by setting dependencies immediately when adding linked tasks. You can now define sequence, parallel, or custom successor relationships upfront, removing the need to configure them later.

Release 2025.16

Insert Snippet Task Modal Updates
Improve runbook accuracy when using a snippet task type with an updated modal that requires users to either select a snippet or explicitly skip the task. This change prevents users from proceeding without making a conscious choice, reducing the risk of accidental omissions.

Expanded File Support for AI Create
Broaden the types of supporting documentation you can use to generate runbooks with AI Create. The tool now supports a wider range of formats, including CSV, JSON, TXT, Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, images, and PDFs.

Password Reset Email Wording Update
Ensure password reset emails are successfully delivered to all users across your organizations. The updated email wording helps prevent blockage by certain email security systems.

Release 2025.17

Overwrite Auto-Start Task Behavior
Gain more granular control over your runbook’s workflow by overriding the default auto-start behavior at the task type level. This flexibility allows you to decide precisely how and when tasks should begin based on predecessor completion.

Control Event Integrations in Planning Stage
Achieve cleaner, more relevant event data by using the new "Execute in Planning" option in Event Integrations. By disabling this, you can filter out notifications and updates generated while a runbook is still in the planning phase.

Release 2025.18

New 'On Task Startable' Event
Improve readiness tracking and automate workflows more effectively with the new 'On Task Startable' event. This allows you to trigger integrations and notify external systems the moment a task is ready to begin, without waiting for it to be manually started.
