We’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting the 19th Study of Enterprise Agility Meetup!
SEAM is a monthly meetup focussing on Enterprise Agility and new ways of working which enable enterprises to offer value and opportunity to their customers, with a particular focus on technology. It was founded by Barry Chandler, who also organises the annual Study of Enterprise Agility Conference (SEACON), which Cutover will be attending in November.
Cutover is working with SEAM to host SEAM #19: Humans vs Machines. At Cutover, we believe that despite leaps forward in automation technologies, there will always be an important place for people in enterprise change and resilience, and we want to prove it to you!
At SEAM #19 we’ll be focusing on the continuing importance of people in the workplace and challenging the view that increased automation will make humans obsolete.
With Great People, You Can Be Big AND Agile
To kick off, Cutover CPO Marcus Wildsmith will be sharing his perspective on how people have played an inspirational role in the major change programmes he has been part of over his career. Seeing how people made things happen, such as the launch of EE, led him to co-found Cutover with the aim of putting people front and centre with the tooling they need to be successful.
Humans vs Machines
Guest speaker Mark Heywood will then be sharing his thoughts on automation and what it means for the future of the workplace. As technology plays an ever-increasing role in our daily lives it is inevitable that we ponder whether machines are in their ascendancy. As Mark reflects on his 20-year career in the resilience space, dealing with outages, failures, crises, and disasters one thing sticks in the memory more than anything else: humanity.
The event will be held on the 11th October at Rise London from 6-9pm. As well as listening to some great speakers there’ll be plenty of time to mingle and network over beer and pizza.
